I want you to love every book you purchase from Pride and Paperbacks. If a new or used book doesn't meet your expectations, I'm happy to accept returns within 14 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange.
Due to their unique nature and value, antique books, books stamped with the Pride and Paperbacks logo, and books with previous owner stamps, bookplates, or other collector's markings are final sale and cannot be returned. All condition details, including any stamps, inscriptions, or wear, are noted in each listing to help you make an informed decision before purchasing.

To initiate a return, please email me at [your email address] within 14 days of receiving your order. Include your order number and reason for the return, and I'll respond with return approval and shipping instructions.
Please note:
The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs
Books must be returned in the same condition they were received
I reserve the right to deny a refund if the book is returned damaged or in different condition than originally shipped
Once I receive and inspect the returned book, your refund will be processed within 3-5 business days

All orders are carefully packaged and shipped within 5-7 business days of purchase. You'll receive a tracking number via email within 48 hours of your order being dispatched.
Shipping times:
US orders: 3-7 business days after dispatch
Please note that I currently only ship within the United States. International shipping is not available at this time.
Shipping times are estimates and may vary during peak periods or due to carrier delays beyond my control.

All books are carefully packaged to ensure safe delivery. If your package arrives damaged, please:
Do not open or discard the packaging
Take clear photos of the exterior box/envelope showing damage
Take photos of the book's condition immediately upon opening
Contact me within 48 hours of delivery with photos
This documentation helps me file claims with the carrier and ensure you receive a replacement or refund. Claims for damaged items cannot be processed without photographic evidence of both the packaging and the book's condition.
Please note: Antique and vintage books are sold in the condition described in their listings, which may include age-related wear such as foxing, faded covers, or loose bindings. These pre-existing conditions are not considered damage. Damage claims apply only to new harm that occurs during shipping (such as torn pages, broken spines, or water damage not present at the time of shipment).
Please inspect your package immediately upon delivery. Claims submitted more than 48 hours after delivery cannot be accepted.

Thank you for shopping with Pride and Paperbacks! By making a purchase, you agree to the following terms. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out—I'm here to help.
1. Order Acceptance All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. I reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to product availability, errors in pricing or product information, or suspected fraudulent activity.
2. Product Descriptions & Accuracy I strive to describe each book as accurately as possible, including detailed condition notes and photographs. All objective condition details—such as wear, markings, inscriptions, foxing, or age-related characteristics—are included in listings.
For antique and vintage books: These books have character and history! What some might see as imperfections are often part of their charm. All pre-existing conditions are noted in listings and are not considered defects.
Occasionally, minor details (such as exact publication dates or printing information) may contain unintentional errors. If specific edition details are critical to your purchase, please contact me before ordering and I'll verify the information for you.
3. Pre-Purchase Inspections By purchasing, you acknowledge that you've reviewed all listing details, condition descriptions, and photos. If you'd like additional photos or information about a book's condition before purchasing, just ask—I'm happy to provide more details to help you make an informed decision!
4. Photo Documentation I photograph all books before packaging to ensure they arrive safely and as described. These photos are kept on file for reference.
5. Shipping Address Accuracy Please double-check that your shipping address is correct at checkout. If you need to update your address after ordering, contact me right away so I can make sure your book gets to you! I cannot be held responsible for packages shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the buyer. If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, reshipping fees will apply.
6. Delivery & Lost Packages Once the carrier marks your package as delivered, it's officially in your care. If tracking shows delivery but you haven't received your package, please reach out to your local post office or the carrier first—they can help track it down or file a claim. I'm not able to issue refunds or replacements for packages marked as delivered by the carrier.
7. Damaged Packages See our Damaged Packages policy above for full details. All damage claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence of both the packaging and the book's condition.
8. Returns & Condition Disputes See our Returns policy above for full details on what can and cannot be returned.
Please note: Subjective opinions about a book's condition (such as "more worn than expected" or "not as nice as I imagined") are not grounds for return when all objective condition information was provided in the listing. If you're uncertain about a book's condition, please reach out before purchasing!
9. Cancellations Need to cancel? No problem—just contact me as soon as possible. Once a book has shipped, cancellations will follow the standard return process, and return shipping costs will be the buyer's responsibility.
10. Communication I typically respond to all messages within 24-48 hours. If you haven't heard from me, your message might have gotten lost in my inbox—please send another note and I'll get right back to you!
11. Payment All payments must be completed at the time of purchase. I accept [list your payment methods - credit cards, PayPal, etc.].
12. Privacy Your personal information (name, address, email) is used solely to fulfill your order and communicate with you about your purchase. I will never share or sell your information to third parties.
13. Modifications to Terms I reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
